In Loving Memory of Councillor David Chadwick

Thank you for supporting our chosen charities - Westhoughton Assist Service, Bolton Wanderers in the Community and the Critical Care Unit at Royal Bolton Hospital.
During his year as Mayor of Bolton, David raised thousands of pounds for these three charities, all of which he held close to his heart. His chosen charities were a reflection of the kind of person he was – someone who always went out of his way to help those who needed it most.
The Critical Care Unit cared for David in 2024 when he became ill with pneumonia. The care, compassion, and patience of the staff on the ward (with both him and us) was extraordinary. Donations to CCU will ensure they can continue their incredible work for patients and their families, just as they did for ours.
As a lifelong Bolton Wanderers fan, David was so happy to support Bolton Wanderers in the Community – a charity doing amazing work across our borough, supporting people of all ages through education, inclusion, health, and sport.
David’s heart was always with the people of Westhoughton, and the third charity we are supporting is Westhoughton Assist. Since 2020, they’ve been helping families in financial hardship access affordable food and vital services.
