The Challenge - Within a three day period, a group of four individuals from Siemens Mobility will be trekking the coast to coast path alongside Hadrians wall, whilst carrying all their kitting requirements and being self sustained. In total this is 90 Miles, averaging at over a marathon a day for each day of the challenge.

The Charities - We have chosen to fund raise for 2 charities. The donations will be split equally across both charities as we value the incredible work they do. The Charites we have chosen to fundraise for are - Combat Stress and CALM.

Combat Stress
Mission Statement - Our mission is to deliver specialist treatment for veterans with complex mental health needs, whilst supporting their families and network, to help them tackle the past and take on their future.

Within the team there are 3 x ex military who all feel incredibly passionate around what combat stress and the work they carry out stand for. Military life and its demands can place stresses and strains on individuals that aren't visible. During active service this can be addressed through the various support avenues within the military structure, however once out of active service the support needs to continue. Combat Stress provide support for veterans with complex mental health problems, ensuring they find a way along with others to have a meaningful and fulfilled life.

Campaign Against Living Miserably
Mission Statement - We stand together with everyone who’s struggling with life, no matter who they are, where they’re from or what they’re going through. And we do it through our life-saving services, national campaigns, and by building communities.

All members of the team feel passionate around issues involving mental health. The support networks provided to individuals requiring that additional helping hand around their mental issues are critical to address the figures we regularly see regarding suicide. CALM provide conversations and events that bring mental health issues and the support required to the forefront of everyone's mind.

Every donation makes a difference. For every £1 donated to Combat Stress - 76p is used for veteran treatment, 19p for fundraising and 5p for awareness and access. For every £1 donated to CALM - 80p is used to support initiatives with the additional cost to support the charity in fundraising.
