In Memory of Jan <3

Thank you so much to everyone for all of the donations. We have been absolutely blown away by everyone's generosity, and I know that my mum would be in a bit of disbelief that so many people were willing to donate on behalf of little old her. We are so so grateful for all of the messages of love and condolence and the occasional anecdote. It has been very comforting (if hard) to read.
I realised that I should have included funeral details in the original post. It's a bit late in the day now, but if you're available and haven't previously had the details, please feel welcome join us at Eltham Crematorium at 1.15 on Thursday 17th September, or from 2pm at Metrogas in Eltham for a celebration of Jan's life. Everyone who knew her is welcome.
In true Jan style, there will be lots of cake.

On the 23rd August 2026 my wonderful, beautiful, loving, funny, kind mum, Jan Roberts passed away at Greenwich and Bexley Hospice after a short and incomprehensible skirmish with cancer.
We've opened up this fundraising page in her memory, and opted for Greenwich And Bexley Cottage Hospice, who were so kind to her and to us in her last days, and Childline and Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI), both organisations she had supported with regular donations for many many years.
All donations will be split between the charities evenly, and will be sent directly via GiveWheel.
There aren't really any words to properly express the grief we are feeling at the moment, but thank you so much to everyone who has reached out with stories and memories and words of support. It has meant a lot to be reminded that we are not alone in this grief, and how much she was (and always will be) loved by so many people.
