Remembering Beth Polson, Knock

In her mid-sixties Beth started to develop a blood disorder which evolved into leukaemia in 2025.  Under the care of the Haematology Department at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary she underwent a stem-cell transplant at Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow in March 2026 and was progressing well until late June, when it became apparent that the transplant had failed and an infection quickly overcame Beth. She sadly passed away on 31 July 2026. Beth leaves an immeasurable hole in the lives of Roger; her children Tim, Alex, Mhairi and Nicky; her sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins; and her many friends. We are grateful for the support and care shown by the Haematology department of Aberdeen Royal Infirmary and the transplant unit in Glasgow and in particular for the help of the Anthony Nolan Trust and Friends of Anchor in Aberdeen, without whose support the transplant could never have taken place, and we would like to support their efforts by raising funds in Beth's name.
