Rolling on the River: taking on the Thames from Source to Sea

Hi! We're Megan and Lottie – welcome to our adventure.

After successfully tackling 3km of the River Thames, we found ourselves asking, "How hard could 350km be?" So we've decided to find out by taking on the challenge of walking and wheeling the entire length of the Thames, from its source all the way to the sea.

This will be a huge physical and mental challenge for both of us, but we wanted it to be about more than just reaching the finish line. We're using this journey to raise money for two charities that mean the world to us. Knowing we're supporting causes close to our hearts will give us the motivation to keep going when the miles get long, the weather turns against us, and we're wondering why we ever thought this was a good idea!

Our Charities:

Megan – Little Princess Trust

"I first donated my hair to the Little Princess Trust when my mum needed a wig herself, and I'm currently growing it again to donate for a second time. While hair donations are essential, there's also a significant cost involved in creating each wig. Through this challenge, I hope to help fund the making of my donated wig, while also supporting the incredible work the charity does in providing free, real-hair wigs to children and young people experiencing hair loss."

Lottie – Valley End Cricket Club Rascals

"The Valley End Cricket Club Rascals are a mixed disability cricket team based in Surrey. They provide weekly cricket sessions in a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment throughout the year. When I became ill and started using a wheelchair, the Rascals played a huge part in helping me adapt to my new life and gave me the confidence to take on challenges like this one. I'm now fortunate enough to coach this amazing group and help others experience the same joy, friendship and confidence that cricket gave me. Every donation will help the Rascals continue providing opportunities for disabled cricketers now and in the future."

Thank you so much for supporting us. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a real difference to these fantastic causes and help keep us moving as we make our way from the source of the Thames to the sea.
