Eoin's Charity Fundraiser

We've set up this fundraising page to mark one year since our son Eoin was diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (B-ALL). We hope to raise money for a few of the charities, out of many, that are important to us.

Inspired by Eoin's resilience and determination we are taking part in some running events later this year. 

- Emma will be running the BELFAST HALF MARATHON on Sunday 20th September 2026.

- Emma & Declan, along with friends, will be participating in the Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI / NIBTS HALLOWEEN 5K BLOOD RUN on Sunday 25th October 2026.

The treatment regimen for ALL is long and is most intense in the first year. During this time Eoin encountered many side effects and complications. The word count on this page would not be enough to cover what he has had to endure. Thankfully, he is in remission and is keeping well at moment. He has just over 2.5 years of chemotherapy to go before his treatment will come to an end.

We would be very grateful if you are able to donate (any amount at all!) to help us support these wonderful charities. They all provide vital assistance to children and families affected by childhood cancer. The range of services these charities provide is vast and really makes a difference to the lives affected by cancer. Services include: funding roles for therapeutic play specialists, providing financial assistance to families, and investing in scientific research.

Over the last 12 months Eoin has needed 11 Blood Transfusions (6 Red Cell, 7 Platelets).
