50km, 11 workouts, 12 Friends, 2 Daughters Never Forgotten

Two Dads. Two Daughters. One Impossible Challenge.

Marcellus and Matt are cousins through marriage, and now share something far harder than family ties. Just six weeks apart in 2022, they each lost a beautiful daughter.


Matt's daughter, Luna-Rose Vince, passed away at age 3. Chailey Heritage Foundation supported her throughout her early years.


Marcellus's daughter, Jemima Rebekah Edmonds, passed away aged 8 after an asthma attack. Evelina London Children's Hospital cared for her in her final days.


Now, in memory of Luna and Jemima, Marcellus and Matt, together with 10 friends, are taking on a brutal challenge across the South Downs: a 50km hike, but with a twist. Every 5km, they'll stop and complete a full intense workout, they will also be carrying every bit of equipment themselves the entire way. A rowing machine. A barbell. Two 10kg plates. A skipping rope. No help, no shortcuts, just miles of hills and the weight of what they're carrying, literally and otherwise.

11 FULL work outs

An example of JUST ONE workout for a team of 4 is:
400 Squats
400 Deadlifts
400 Benchpresses

They will then continue hiking and carrying the equipment.

They must complete all 11 workouts and carry the equipment the ENTIRE 50km within 24 hours.
The only way to make this happen is to continue through the night
