Jazz on the Rocks

I’m Oscar, a Year 12 student in Bristol, and for my A‑Level EPQ I’m organising Jazz on the Rocks - a live jazz night and giveaway to raise money for Climbers Against Cancer (CAC).

Climbing and music are two of my biggest passions, and this project brings them together for a cause that means a lot to me. CAC supports people affected by cancer across the climbing community, and Flashpoint Bristol (the venue) has worked with them for years, so this felt like the perfect charity to support.

Over the past few months I’ve contacted more than 250 companies, secured sponsorship, gathered an incredible range of prizes, and planned a full evening of live jazz - with some help from others. The event will be held at Flashpoint Bristol on Friday 12th June, and everyone who wants to take part in the giveaway can enter for free - donations are heavily encouraged but never required.

All money raised here goes directly to CAC.
Every donation, big or small, helps support the charity and makes the event possible.

Terms & Conditions (Free Prize Draw)
1. Free Entry:
This is a free prize draw. No payment, donation, or purchase is required to enter. Donations are optional and do not affect your chances of winning.
2. How to Enter:
Entry is made by registering for a free ticket on this GiveWheel page. One entry per person. GiveWheel automatically limits entries to one per email address.
3. Eligibility:
Open to UK residents only. Entrants under 16 must have permission from a parent or guardian.
4. Prize Collection:
All prizes must be collected in person from Flashpoint Bristol (BS3 4RP).
Prizes cannot be posted, delivered, or transferred.
Winners must collect their prize within 14 days of being notified.
5. Prize Details:
Over £1,250 worth of prizes are available, donated by climbing brands across the UK. Prizes include chalk bags, climbing books, reusable cups, chalk bundles, vouchers, resole services, training gear, and more. A full prize list is provided below.
6. Winner Selection:
Winners will be chosen at random after the draw closes. Each valid entry has an equal chance of winning.
7. Winner Notification:
Winners will be contacted using the email address provided at entry. If a winner does not respond within 7 days, a new winner may be drawn.
8. No Cash Alternative:
Prizes are non‑exchangeable and cannot be swapped for cash or other items.
9. Event Organiser:
This prize draw is organised by Oscar as part of the “Jazz on the Rocks” charity event supporting Climbers Against Cancer.
10. Changes or Cancellation:
The organiser reserves the right to amend or cancel the draw if necessary (for example, if a prize becomes unavailable).
11. Closing Date:
Entries close at 23:59 on 12 July 2026. Entries submitted after this time will not be included.
12. Data Protection:
Email addresses will be used only for administering the prize draw and contacting winners. Personal data will not be shared with third parties and will be deleted after prizes have been collected.
