On 18–19 June a group from the Everywhen Corporate Team will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge. This is a demanding but meaningful challenge that involves climbing Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon within a 24‑hour period.
Those taking part are myself, Cam, Adam Medrala, Adam Roebuck, Adam Wake, Louise, Eve, Paula, Callum, Bob, and Brad. We will set off from the base of Ben Nevis at 5:00pm on 18 June, with the goal of reaching the bottom of Snowdon by 5:00pm on 19 June. It will be physically and mentally tough, but it is something we are all incredibly committed to and proud to be doing together.
We are also extremely grateful to Alistair and Trisha, who will be playing a vital supporting role throughout the challenge. They’ll be driving us from mountain to mountain, keeping us fed and hydrated during the journeys, and, just as importantly, helping to keep spirits high when the tiredness really starts to set in. Their support behind the scenes will be absolutely invaluable.
So, why are we doing this?
We are raising money for two charities that are incredibly close to our hearts, both of which have provided life‑changing support to people connected to our team during some of the most difficult moments imaginable.
The Compassionate Friends
As many of you will know, The Compassionate Friends was a charity that meant a great deal to Chris Wright. They offered immeasurable support to Chris and Lisa during what can only be described as an unimaginably painful period in their lives. The care, understanding, and compassion they provide to bereaved families is truly extraordinary.
In loving memory and tribute to one of the very best men many of us have had the privilege of knowing and working alongside, we wanted to support a cause that was so close to his heart. This part of our fundraising is dedicated to honouring Chris’s memory and helping ensure that other families can receive the same kindness and support when they need it most.
Leeds Hospitals Charity
In August 2025, the news that Martin Dowse had been taken seriously ill came as a shock to us all. Although Martin had only been part of the team for a relatively short time, his absence was deeply felt across the business.
We are incredibly thankful and relieved that Martin made a full recovery and is now back working alongside us. As a recognition of the exceptional care, dedication, and support he received during the three months he spent in hospital, we are proud to be raising money for the Leeds Hospitals Charity. This is our way of giving something back and saying thank you for the vital work they do every single day.
This challenge means a great deal to all of us — not just as a physical achievement, but as a way to remember, to give thanks, and to support others facing incredibly difficult circumstances. Any support, encouragement, or donations would be hugely appreciated, but above all, thank you for taking the time to read and for sharing in why this challenge matters so much to us.
