We're cycling from London to Athens

There are so many people facing difficult circumstances and many great charities doing vital work who need support. We have chosen to rais money in aid of Cancer Research and Alzheimers Research as they're personal us. 

As you may know my grandmother was diagnosed with dementia - a condition that is slowly taking away her memories and independence. It doesn’t have a clear finish line, and it's something we quietly carry every day. Alzheimers Society not only conducts research for cures but also offers support to those living with dementia.

After my grandmother's diagnosis, both my parents were diagnosed with cancer which was terrifying. So many people I care about have been diagnosed and not all have made it through. My parents did and this is something I will never take for granted.

They say to beat it you have to be strong and resilient but that's not always enough, even for the strongest and most resilient. It shouldn't have to be this way.

Cancer and Alzheimer’s affect millions of people and families. Progress is being made, but there’s still so much more to do — in research, in care, and in support for those living through it.
