The Three Peaks for Pauline Challenge

We are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge in loving memory of our incredible mum, auntie and friend, Pauline. This is a 24 mile hike through the three peaks Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, to be completed in one day.

In February this year, we sadly lost Mum very suddenly to a brain haemorrhage. In the midst of such heartbreak, she gave one final extraordinary gift. Through organ donation, her heart, kidneys and liver were able to save 4 lives. That was exactly who she was, selfless, generous, and always thinking of others.

Mum dedicated over 40 years of her life to working as a nurse in the NHS, caring for others with such commitment, compassion and kindness. Even outside of her career, she continued to give back volunteering her time with Hull Help for Refugees, a cause she cared deeply about and was a passionate advocate for.

She was not only an amazing nurse and volunteer, but a devoted wife, mum, granny, sister, auntie and a true friend to so many. Her love and strength touched everyone who knew her and she is so greatly missed by us all.

In her honour, we are taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise funds and awareness for two causes that meant so much to her and, as well as to us: Hull Help for Refugees, and NHS Blood and Transplant (NHS organ donation). By supporting these charities, we hope to continue her incredible legacy of helping others and making a difference.

The hike will not be easy but we have a big group of people coming to take on the challenge alongside us and we thank them for all their fundraising efforts and raising awareness of the gift of organ donation.

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help support people in need and keep Mum’s spirit of kindness and generosity alive.

Thank you so much for your support, it truly means the world to us.
