Gareth attempts to run the marathon!
To put it simply, I am doing this to raise money for 2 charities close to my heart and for 2 of the most important people in my life.
2 years ago I lost my Dad to bowl cancer. The old man loved a challenge and was always the first person to donate to any charity event. In his memory I will attempt to run a marathon whilst raising some money to help beat Cancer.
My wife has lived with Type 1 diabetes since she was 4 years old. Living with this disease is a daily struggle and I am in awe of how strong she is and how she copes. It has severely impacted our lives in recent years and is another reason for me wanting to raise money to help those suffering similar experiences.
