Attempting my first ever run, Cardiff Half 2026.

For the past 12 years, I've had the privilege of working for City Hospice, and I have seen first-hand just how vital our care is. Every day, I witness the difference funding makes - allowing us to support patients and families through the most difficult times, with compassion, dignity and expert care, I'm proud to stand alongside an incredible team who go above and beyond for every family we help.

Every single person I've supported over the years has left a mark on me. Their strength, courage and resilience in the face of the toughest times imaginable is part of the reason I am taking on this challenge.

The other is inspiration from my son and raising awareness and support for the Welsh Dragons burns club. A charity group run by the nursing team of the burns and plastics unit at Morriston Hospital. After my son's terrible accident last Easter, we experienced their care and support. The dedication, expertise , kindness and continued after care is something I will be forever grateful for. My son's bravery and strength through everything he's been through is the other reason Im pushing myself to do this.

These charities are there when people need them most - often in moments no one ever expects. You never know when you or someone you love might need their help.

That's why I am running - to help make sure they can continue to be there for every family who needs them.
