Jacob's Bar Mitzvah Charity Challenges
1462
Hi Everyone – thank you so much for visiting my fundraising page! I'm going to be turning 13 in October 2023 and will become Bar Mitzvah. This is a landmark moment in my lifetime and means that I will become an adult in Jewish law and will be responsible for my own actions. I've decided to focus my Bar Mitzvah fundraising efforts around the number 13. I've set myself a target of trying to raise at least £1,300 to be split equally between 13 charities that I've chosen and carry out 13 different challenges. The 13 challenges I have decided on are as follows: 1) Cycle 130 km on the gym exercise bike2) Take 13,000 steps for 13 consecutive days 3) Run 13 laps of my local park 4) Volunteer at a packathon for a charity called GIFT 5) Learn to count to the number 13 in Welsh6) Climb Mount Snowdon 7) Go to a service in shul (Synagogue) for 13 consecutive days 8) Do 130 keepie uppies (juggling a football with my feet for those who don’t know this term!) 9) Be silent for 13 hours one day during the summer holidays 10) Carry out some shopping for a local charity called give.help.share. They support families in need, by supplying local schools with weekly food parcels for children who need them the most. 11) Swim 1.3 km (52 laps) in my local swimming pool 12) Personally donate £100 towards my charity target through chores, through selling things and maybe even running a bake sale 13) Visit 13 football stadia in one day
I will be keeping this page up to date with my progress and share some of my photos and videos along the way. Thanks again for taking the time to visit my page and for your support.

Across London, Manchester and Israel we inspire giving. We know that being kind or helping others isn’t something that just happens automatically. It is a mindset that needs to be taught, nurtured and encouraged, so that present and future generations are imbued with this core tenet of Judaism.
