2-Night Hike for EDS/Mental Health Awareness Month (May)
14102
My name is Jamie, and I’m hiking and camping for 2-Nights with my friend Jordan to prove that a diagnosis doesn’t define your finish line.
Living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS), ADHD, and previous mental health challenges, I’ve spent my life being told what I can’t do. This May—which marks both EDS and Mental Health Awareness Month—I’m flipping the script. On May 1st, I’m embarking on a 2-night wilderness hiking and camping trip to raise vital funds for MIND, Andy Mans Club, EDS UK & Ambition About Autism.
My initials are JKP, which stand for Jamie Kian Pennington—but they also stand for my life’s mantra: Just Keep Pushing.
This challenge is deeply personal. Navigating the wilderness with EDS presents unique physical hurdles, but with the right pacing and support, I want to show what is truly possible.
The Bigger Mission:
I am currently building my business, JKP AutoCare, from the ground up. I’m documenting this journey to inspire fellow Neurodivergent and EDS individuals to become entrepreneurs. I want to build a community that asks: 'What CAN you do?' rather than focusing on limitations.
Every penny raised will be split evenly to support physical and mental wellbeing. Thank you for helping me show that we can all keep pushing, no matter the obstacles.
