Celebrating 40 Years of Fiona Cairns by Giving Back

This year, Fiona Cairns Limited turns 40 and to celebrate this incredible milestone, we’re taking on an ambitious challenge: raising £40,000 for two extraordinary charities, Rainbows Hospice and Refettorio Felix, both of which are very close to our hearts.

Over the past four decades, we’ve been privileged to be part of so many special moments and celebrations. Now, we want to use our anniversary year as an opportunity to give something meaningful back to our communities.
 
Throughout the year, our team will be taking part in a series of fundraising events, challenges and activities, some inspiring, some exhausting and some just wonderfully ridiculous!

From skydives and sponsored walks to volunteering days and charity cake stalls, every challenge is helping us move closer to our £40,000 goal.
 
Supporting Two Incredible Charities
💛 Rainbows Hospice for Children and Young People in Loughborough, provides vital care and support for babies, children and young people with serious or terminal illnesses, as well as their families. We have been supporting Rainbow's for 14 years, including countless visits to the hospice to share our cakes with children, families and the Rainbow's team. Fiona has been an ambassador for over 10 years.

🍽️ Refettorio Felix, London supports vulnerable people in the local community by providing nutritious 3-course lunches served in a welcoming space to anyone who walks through the door. The charity also provides vital support services, such as health and well-being drop-ins, a clothing bank and laundry service, and wonderful creative workshops. Tara has been involved with
the charity for the last 4 years and we have donated many of our surplus cakes (which have gone down a treat!).
 
What we’re taking on
✈️ Skydives - Two brave members of the Fiona Cairns team will be leaping from 10,000 feet to raise funds for our charity partners.
🌈 ‘It’s A Knockout’ Challenge - A team of 10 will be tackling inflatable obstacle courses, foam, water and fast-paced challenges at Rainbow’s fundraising event.
👣 4,000 Mile Step Challenge - Together, we’re aiming to walk, jog and run 4,000 miles, the equivalent distance from London to Delhi.
🌳 Bradgate Park Charity Walk - Friends, families and team members will come together for a 5-mile walk and picnic in beautiful Bradgate Park.
🙋 Volunteering with FareShare - Our team will be supporting the UK’s largest charity fighting hunger and food waste through dedicated volunteering days.
🎂 Charity Cake Stalls - Because no Fiona Cairns celebration would be complete without cake, we’ll also be hosting special pop-up cake stalls throughout the year.
