Bambi needs you!

We said we were full.

We told ourselves we couldn’t stretch another penny. The bills are piling up, the funds are frighteningly low… and yet, on Sunday 15 February 2026, we found ourselves receiving a call for help for a tiny, broken soul we simply could not walk away from.

No photograph could ever truly show you how heartbreaking he is. Every bone presses sharply against his fragile skin. His little legs are so long and weak that his pasterns have dropped. His teeth just awkwardly at the front, and the back teeth are growing outwards. We honestly don’t know how he’s managing to chew hay at all.

But how do you turn your back on that?

With no national charities open on a Sunday, and after a two-hour journey from the moment we were told about him, we brought him home. He was so utterly exhausted that he lay down as soon as he arrived. For a while, we held our breath. But now… he is standing. He is eating. He has been gently dusted for lice to ease the relentless itching that has clearly plagued him for far too long.

We didn’t have the funds. We still don’t. But we have him now, and he deserves a chance.

We are pleading for your help. If you can spare anything at all, no matter how small, it will make a difference. It will help us give this little one the professional vetinary care, nourishment and safety he so desperately needs.
