Knot Fast World’s Toughest Row – Atlantic 2027

4ED was founded in honour of former Gloucester Rugby player Ed Slater following his diagnosis with motor neurone disease, supporting families affected by MND through specialist care and support.

The RAF Benevolent Fund supports serving RAF personnel, veterans, and their families through financial, emotional, and practical help when it’s needed most.

To raise funds and awareness for these incredible causes, four friends from Cheltenham, Oliver Bruce, Peter Lloyd, Tom Mayfield and Flight Lieutenant Damien Mayhew, will attempt to row 3,000 miles across the Atlantic Ocean completely unsupported as part of the World’s Toughest Row in December 2027.

For around 40 days at sea, the team will battle exhaustion, storms, huge waves, and sleep deprivation in one of the world’s toughest endurance challenges.

4 Guys. 3,000 Miles. 2 Charities. 1 Mission.
