Raising Funds for the Wales Air Ambulance Charity and The Children’s Burns Trust

We are organising a charity night at Ebbw Vale Welfare on April 18th to raise funds for two amazing charities close to our hearts, The Wales Air Ambulance Charity and Children's Burns Trust. Tickets are £10 each, and all proceeds will be divided equally between our chosen charities. We have set up this page as an alternative way to donate for those who are unable to attend the event in person.

Please note: we certainly do not expect anyone to do both!

Vinnie's Story:
​Last year, our lives changed instantly when our son, Vinnie, suffered a devastating burns injury.

​Vinnie was placed under the incredible care of Bristol Children’s Hospital. The treatment he received on the Daisy Ward was exceptional, and the support they offered our family was nothing short of phenomenal. Thanks to your overwhelming generosity last year, we were able to fundraise for the Daisy Ward to say thank you.

​This year, Jamie and I want to continue giving back. In addition to our charity night, we will be taking on the Great Bristol Run 10k in May. We would like to raise vital funds for two charities that have been our lifeline: Wales Air Ambulance Charity and the Children’s Burns Trust.

The Wales Air Ambulance Charity  provided the life-saving care Vinnie needed on the day of his accident. They are a charity-funded service that relies entirely on the public to keep their helicopters in the air.
• ​The Reality: A single call-out costs approximately £3545.
• ​The Impact: In 2025 alone, they attended 3,665 critical incidents. Without people like you, these highly skilled medical professionals couldn't reach patients in such a critical time, just like they did for our little boy.

​The Children’s Burns Trust
​Since Vinnie’s injury, the Children’s Burns Trust has been by our side. They provide essential rehabilitation and support for burned and scalded children and their families.
Through this charity, we’ve been able to connect with other families on similar journeys. These experiences have provided a vital support network for us through our darkest days, helping us realise we aren't alone.

We know that times are tough for everyone right now. We aren't asking for huge amounts; whether it’s £1 or £10, every single penny ensures these charities can be there for the next family in need.
