Maul Together - EDG2Paris

Bridgnorth EDG To Paris - 5th - 7th September 2023
Maul Together is back! With the Rugby World Cup starting in Paris this September - Maul Together will be riding from our home town of Bridgnorth to Paris in 3 days! We are again raising much needed funds for: My Name’5 Doddie Foundation & Matt Hampson Foundation

MAUL TOGETHER STORY:
A rugby-focused fundraising team, spreading the rugby ethos and team spirit to charities and individuals who require it the most.
We are a group of local rugby players approaching the end of our playing careers, and as a result, we have decided that it is time to channel our hard work, dedication, and commitment towards something new. As we all know, the game of rugby provides a vast family and support network to help players overcome life's many challenges. Unfortunately, not everyone is fortunate enough to have this support system, and it is our mission to provide this to those who need it the most.
Our founding members have been greatly inspired by the cases and campaigns of Matt Hampson and the late Doddie Weir. Several moving documentaries and coverage, including Doddie and Rob Burrow, have spoken at length about their incredible network of support, which they have gained from their illustrious playing careers. However, Doddie worries about individuals facing similar battles without a similar level of support.
One of Maul Together's objectives is to reach out to some of these isolated individuals. To assist with this endeavour, Maul Together has partnered with two outstanding charities, the Matt Hampson Foundation and the My Name'5 Doddie Foundation, which are both wholly committed to helping those suffering from life-altering injuries and illnesses. Our fundraising efforts will be channelled through these charities to provide the best possible assistance to these individuals.

In 2021 the Maul Together team took on the hugely iconic JOGLE cycling challenge and raised over £55,000 for My Name’5 Doddie Foundation & Matt Hampson Foundation. 9 Riders - 9 Days - 958 Miles - 47,675ft Elevation.
We look forward to doing our best to raise as much money as possible during this Bridgnorth EDG to Paris challenge!! Please support us and donate, no matter how big or small, every pound makes a difference to our amazing charities!

The Matt Hampson Foundation works with young people seriously injured through sport. Many of our beneficiaries arrive following traumatic experiences that can leave them feeling lost, scared and unsure of what to do next.
