CrossScot Charity Run

In June, I’m taking on CrossScot - running over 350km across the widest part of Scotland, completed over seven consecutive days, running coast to coast from west to east.
I only started running at the beginning of 2025, but I wanted to commit to a personal challenge while raising funds for two local charities that do life-changing work: Mikeysline and Cash for Kids. Through my work as a teacher, and now at UHI Inverness, I’ve seen first-hand the difference both organisations make to children, young people, and families across our communities.
Mikeysline provides vital mental health and suicide prevention support, offering a lifeline to people when they need it most. Demand for their services continues to grow, and every donation helps ensure that no one has to face their darkest moments alone.
Cash for Kids supports children and young people affected by poverty, illness, neglect, or additional needs across the north of Scotland. From providing essentials to creating meaningful opportunities, their work helps give young people the support and chances they deserve.
Throughout the week-long run, I’ll be sharing regular updates - the good moments and the tough days, and everything in between. This challenge isn’t about speed; it’s about completing each day for something worthwhile.
If you’re able to donate, share the page, or follow along, your support will make a real difference. Together, we can turn this challenge into a meaningful, lasting impact for people who truly need it.
Thank you for supporting CrossScot.
