252 Miles. One Body. Still Moving Forward.

Cocodona 250 isn’t about proving what’s possible — it’s about what endurance costs.
In May 2026, I’m taking on one of the toughest ultramarathons in the world: Cocodona 250 — a 252-mile nonstop ultramarathon across Arizona. The course climbs over 40,000 feet in total elevation, moving from rugged desert terrain into remote mountain ranges, with freezing nights, scorching daytime heat, and relentless physical and mental strain. Sleep deprivation and constant forward motion make it one of the most demanding endurance races on the planet.
I’m a bowel cancer survivor, having been diagnosed in 2019. In July 2024, I experienced a sudden, life-threatening medical emergency related to that survival, and I now live with a stoma. That period forced a complete reset — physically, mentally, and emotionally. The support I received during my recovery is a large part of why I’m raising money for the two charities behind this effort.
This run is also personal. My nephew is growing up with a stoma. I want to better understand the challenges he — and many others living with stomas — may face. This isn’t about being an example; it’s about earning perspective and empathy, and standing alongside people navigating life with a changed body.
Along the way, I’ve applied for the run to be recognised by Guinness World Records as the 'longest single-distance running event ever completed by someone living with a stoma'. The aim isn’t recognition — it’s to challenge stigma and help change how disability is perceived.
I’m raising money for two charities that reflect this journey:
Colostomy UK — providing essential support for people living with stomas, helping reduce stigma, isolation, and the practical challenges that come with life-changing surgery
REORG — supporting veterans and blue light personnel with physical and mental recovery. After my Army career, and following serious illness and injury, REORG represents the process of re-learning resilience — applying hard-earned lessons in new situations and rebuilding strength when life takes an unexpected turn
This challenge is about resilience, representation, and choosing forward momentum after disruption. Both charities supported different parts of my recovery — with the same outcome: helping me to keep moving forward.
Every donation — no matter the size — helps fund support, recovery, and understanding for people facing life-changing challenges.
Thank you for supporting the journey.
