Kilimanjaro Charity Climb

Adam, Josh and Dan are climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest Mountain in Africa and highest freestanding mountain in the world at 19,341 feet.

The climb takes 8 days through five climate zones – from rainforest to the arctic summit (temperature at the summit is -20 degrees, and has 50% less oxygen than at sea level.)

We are raising money for 2 great Charities: Love Jasmine and Barnardos

Love Jasmine supports family members directly affected by the loss of a child. They provide emotional, practical and respite support and promote self-care to improve the emotional well being of the whole family. Our friend’s son Callum unfortunately passed away last year shortly after he was born. Callum’s parents Nick and Gemma are incredibly grateful for the support they have received from Love Jasmine, so this is a very worthy charity.

Barnardo’s is another excellent charity that makes sure children and young people feel safer, happier, healthier and more hopeful, by directly supporting them and their families with specialist services, raising awareness and campaigning to change things for the better.

Love, Jasmine was established by Rob and Kathy Lapsley following the death of their daughter Jasmine in August 2014. Their experiences following Jasmine’s death meant that they had a greater understanding of the types of support that should be available for families who have lost a child and they set up a charity that they felt would meet those needs.
