The Paddy - Memorial Ride

‘The Paddy’ is a charity bike ride in memory of our father Paddy Fox, who died from cardiac arrest whilst cycling, in Spring 2025.

Taking inspiration from the Lake District’s Fred Whitton challenge aka ‘The Fred’. The Paddy captures many of the things he was known for: his love of cycling, setting challenges, philanthropy and above all, spending time with friends in the great outdoors.

There will be two rides, setting off from our family home in Bristol and riding together for 10 miles, before splitting off into two routes around the Mendip Hills of 46 or 70 miles in total.

The rides will cover some of Dad’s favourite roads and whilst challenging, it is suitable for all abilities, with two hearty food stops along on the way.

The ride will be raising money for the RNLI, a charity close to Dad’s heart and one he was the former chairman for in Bristol, as well as SADS, a leading cardiac charity.

We hope to see you there in what will be a memorable day and one Dad would have loved.
