Marching 4 Minds 2026

Challenge Complete!!  BUT YOU CAN STILL DONATE!!

What an epic pilgrimage marching 235 miles in 5 days from Tremadog in Gwynedd (the birth place of Lawrence of Arabia) to Bovington Camp in Dorset (where he died of injuries sustained in a motorbike crash on 19th May 1935), from 14th to 18th May 2026 for mental health.  I was joined on day 5 by some awesome friends from Gone Tabbing, including Ben Parkinson MBE and Damian Isherwood (Co CEO) from Curtis Palmer Program. Ben is the most severely wounded soldier to survive the war in Afghanistan and blasted out the last miles in his wheelchair.  Huge thanks must go to my wing-man (support driver, medic, chef, DJ and comedian) Stephen Pullen. There were also a number of covert operators also from Gone Tabbing who tracked me down en-route.  There must also be a special mention to Jacki my wife and Jack my son.  They have put up with my training in all weather and at all hours for the last year and gave me a huge moral boost on Days 3, 4 and 5.
Awesome support.  I am so lucky to have such good friends and family.

We all know friends or family members who struggle with their mental health, and we can suffer ourselves as well (sometimes without even knowing it). I have been fundraising for Curtis Palmer Program, Samaritans, OCD Action and The Lowdown. They all do amazing work helping with mental health issues.  Although the challenge is over, the recovery period starts now. Looking at my feet, it will take approx a month to get 90% recovered.  So, whilst in recovery phase, I will leave this page open to receive sponsorship - especially from those who may have wanted to see me get over the finish line first.

Huge thanks to:
KarrimorSF https://karrimorsf.com/
Ashwood Vet Clinic (Four Oaks and Sutton Coldfield) https://www.ashwoodvetclinic.co.uk/
Bovington Tank Museum https://tankmuseum.org/ and for all those who have helped and sponsored me.  There are too many to mention individually - but you have been awesome.

Thanks again, lots of love, Andy
