Hi everyone. My next challenge is to march, jog, wobble or crawl 235 miles in 5 days from Tremadog in Gwynedd (the birth place of Lawrence of Arabia) to Bovington Camp in Dorset (where he died of injuries sustained in a motorbike crash on 19th May 1935), from 15th to 19th May 2026 for mental health. We all know friends or family members who struggle with their mental health, and we can suffer ourselves as well (sometimes without even knowing it). I will be fundraising for Curtis Palmer Program, Samaritans, OCD Action and The Lowdown. They all do amazing work helping with mental health issues. How can you help? Well of course I am looking for sponsors, but I am also looking for people to join the team. I need a press coordinator, social media campaigners, sponsorship coordinators, and logistics coordinator for the march itself. People can also join the march on day 5 (19th May 2026) from Holnest Dorset to Bovington Camp. For the sponsors, individual sponsorship can benefit from gift aid and corporate sponsors can offset against tax. I also need clothing and footwear (I will wear out a number of sets in training) and logistical support (including support vehicle/RV and first aid) so I will be approaching relevant businesses. Private donations to assist with those costs are equally welcome but that donation does not benefit from gift aid etc. Full spreadsheets and receipts will be kept for all expenditure. You can also follow me on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. The more followers the better.
Please email me at [email protected] if you want to join the organisational team, to join the march on day 5, or to offer private donations towards the event costs.
Thanks for reading.
