In February 2024 my best friend David Scott was diagnosed with MND, a rare, progressive disease that affects the brains and nerves.
To offer my support during these difficult times, myself with a team of great friends have been putting together challenges & events to help raise much needed funds for the charities that have been supporting Davy during his MND journey.
So far we have held a golf day with over 160 people turning out, then 18 people climbed Ben Nevis in near Arctic conditions, a 40 plus team completed the 25 mile 3 Peak Yorkshire route, a 50 strong team cycled from Barmouth on the west coast of Wales to Great Yarmouth on the East coast of England (320 miles) & we also held Leicester's first MND music festival in July 2025, raising a fantastic amount of money along the way.
We have now set our latest challenge, a 30 strong Just4Davy team will be heading up north England to walk the full length of Hadrian's wall over 4 days between 23rd - 26th April 2026
This event has been put together to further raise MND awareness and much needed funds for the MND Association, a charity driven organisation that is carrying out research into the disease & Loros who offer free care and support for terminally ill patients.
