ReachOut

ReachOut is a national mentoring and education charity, rooted in local communities. Working in under-resourced areas, we support young people to grow in character and confidence, sparking change in themselves and society.
ReachOut
ReachOut works with schools in under-resourced areas of London, Manchester and Liverpool. Schools refer young people to us who would benefit most from having a mentor, for reasons such as low confidence, low academic attainment, being in need of a positive role model or being at risk of exclusion.
We pair them up with a volunteer mentor who they work with on a weekly basis, in a group setting, on actuvities designed to help develop character, increase confidence and bring about long term positive change, for themselves and their community.
Our programmes run with the school year from October to June, during term time, in school. Every session is designed, delivered and supervised by a ReachOut member of staff to suit the needs of that group.
In 2022/23 we delivered 80 projects in 46 schools, supporting over 1000 young people.
