Halpern Charitable Foundation

At the Halpern Charitable Foundation/Nucleus Arts, we believe in a world where everyone can express their creativity, no matter their age, background, status or health. By making the arts open and accessible to all we aim to promote creative thinking, support the creative economy, and use the healing power of the arts to improve mental and physical health.

Your Impact

Each year we provide thousands of free places at our arts and wellbeing sessions. Many of our attendees report the sessions to be an essential lifeline to them, without which they would have very little social interaction at all.

In addition to these activities, we work hard to support the arts across Kent, providing affordable artist studios, galleries, and supporting community initiatives, festivals and events. Working with partners, we provide housing for the most vulnerable of people, and our award-winning work on evaluation and impact monitoring is now being adopted by organisations across Medway and Swale, and is being considered by the NHS as a potential standard approach. Our small team has directly and indirectly supported many thousands of people, and engaged many thousands more through our events. We have facilitated hundreds of partners, and made a huge impact on the community in which we live and work.
