During her time as the UK’s Digital Champion, she was instrumental in the creation of the Government Digital Service, helping to transform the way citizens access public services. Her career spans a range of high-profile board roles, including Twitter, WeTransfer, Marks & Spencer, and Multiverse. Today, she serves as President of the British Chambers of Commerce and sits as a crossbench peer in the House of Lords. Across all of these roles, she has been a consistent advocate for social impact, digital accessibility, and gender equality. Alongside her work in business and public life, Martha has dedicated much of her career to supporting the charity sector. She is a patron of multiple charities and has long been a passionate advocate for community-driven philanthropy. In fact, Martha’s first experience of GiveWheel was as a fundraiser herself. In 2024, she raised over £360,000 through the platform for four charities as part of a challenge to mark the 20th anniversary of her life-changing car accident.
