3 Pillars
Awareness, education & prevention
The aim of the Hollie Gazzard Trust is simple – we work to save lives by building individual and community resilience to domestic abuse, through raising awareness of domestic abuse and stalking in our communities, delivery of training programs and prevention through use of our personal safety app, Hollie Guard and Hollie Guard Extra.
The Hollie Gazzard Trust was created following the murder of 20-year-old Hollie Gazzard in 2014 by an ex-partner. Set up by parents Nick and Mandy, along with sister Chloe, the charity helps reduce domestic violence through creating and delivering programmes on domestic abuse and promoting healthy relationships to schools and colleges.
The ultimate aim of the Trust is to positively change the lives of young people through partnerships in communities, as well as working alongside other charities and professional agencies.

Impact Statement
𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱
In 2015, we launched the Hollie Guard personal safety app, packed with features like location tracking, a discreet alert system activated with a shake or tap, and fall detection. The app collects video and audio evidence during alerts, stored securely on our server. With 106 alerts triggered daily and 50,000 new sign-ups annually, Hollie Guard has become a lifeline for many.
𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀
We’ve partnered with nine police forces to promote Hollie Guard and use its evidence in investigations. So far, the app has contributed to 60 cases, helping protect victims and bring perpetrators to justice.
𝗥𝗮𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗗𝗼𝗰𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀
Telling Hollie’s story is central to our mission. We’ve participated in eight documentaries, including Netflix’s My Lover, My Killer, to raise awareness about domestic abuse and stalking. We’ve also brought powerful monuments like the Knife Angel to Gloucester, sparking vital community conversations.
𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗟𝗮𝘄𝘀
In 2016, we helped introduce Stalking Protection Orders, empowering authorities to safeguard victims before arrests are made.
𝗟𝗮𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮
In 2018, we introduced Hollie Guard Extra, offering 24/7 police-approved monitoring, and priority support for £7.99/month. Over 3,000 people have benefited, and businesses can also use the service to protect staff.
𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝟭𝟱,𝟬𝟬𝟬 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲
We’ve trained over 15,000 people — from police to communities — to spot and prevent abuse, stalking, and coercive control through tailored workshops based on Hollie’s experiences.
𝗪𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀
Our work has earned awards like the High Sheriff’s Team Award and Boris Johnson’s Points of Light award. Nick also received an honorary fellowship from the University of Gloucestershire in 2023 and more recently, been awarded an OBE in the 2025's New Year Honours List for his tireless work in tackling violence against women.

𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲
We’ve reached 4,000 students across 70 schools and colleges, teaching them about healthy relationships, coercive control, knife crime, and how Hollie Guard can keep them safe.

Hollie's legacy lives on through every life we change
Hollie Gazzard was a 20-year-old hair stylist from Gloucester who lost her life to domestic violence in 2014. The Hollie Gazzard Trust was founded in her memory to prevent others from suffering the same fate.
Through education in schools, awareness campaigns, and support for survivors, we work to create a world where everyone can live free from fear in their relationships.

Making a real difference
Every action we take is dedicated to Hollie's memory and to building a safer future for everyone.
Preventing Harm, Protecting Now
Education is at the heart of what we do. We raise awareness, challenge harmful behaviours, and open up conversations that matter. Our training empowers individuals to recognise abuse, respond safely, and support others — helping to create lasting change.
