So relieved, so glad. Thank you for joining me this morning
Yes, I was timed for the swim and then the run
On our way - along Brighouse canal
Might not look it, but there is rather a lot of uphill at this Parkrun!
Along with this being the 6th Parkrun of the challenge, we all claimed a Y for Parkrun challenge alphabeteer and a new venue as Parkrun tourists
Several of us met up at Huddersfield
A picture paints a thousand words!
July 18th - During the 7 mile run
Along the old railway, up steps, then through the woods before returning on the old railway. Scenic route and close to the Bridgewater canal. Second week nearly completed.
In lovely weather, glad we went Monday not Tuesday!
Well we had just done the Parkrun!
The challenge has begun!
Press ups started, 7k ran and the first of the Parkruns - Clarence Park in Bury - run…..yes already weary, thank goodness for pals!! And coffee!
Road training in preparation for next week’s 7k
Our Monday run and more training for me! A super view and yes, the sun does shine in West Yorkshire!
It’s hilly at Robert’s Park, Saltaire too!
It was at the run at Roundhay Park, that the seed for this year’s challenge was planted
At the halfway point with Sharon
What a beautiful place to run the final Parkrun of the challenge and thanks to my pals, who came to run it too or support us.
Friday November 3rd, the sun was shining and there was no rain!
And this was where I’d hoped to run!!!
I was in Hartlepool and ready to run along the prom, but the wind was so strong, I couldn’t stand up against it……hence, once home, we ran in the torrential rain instead! Well, I guess, it’s called a challenge!
Photo was from a recent Parkrun at Temple Newsam
Monday’s run and beautiful views. It helped with yet another 5k (well 6.5k really today)
Working hard in wonderful scenery
Thank you for visiting my sponsorship page and reading my post.
My charity challenge is starting later this year due to the unexpected need for cataract operations. I am very glad to report that I can now see clearly but the downside has been the loss of fitness. Only now can I start to contemplate a challenge of anything more than running 5k without stopping.
So please will you sponsor me to help my chosen charities (and my motivation)? The charities close to my heart are as last year Arthritis Action, British Heart Foundation and Hospice UK. I’ll update my page as I progress.
Thanking you for your support.
