Boyce Hill Golf Club, 54-Holes Golf Challenge!

Julie Leggett

Boyce Hill Golf Club, Benfleet, Essex - 54 Holes! One-Day - Four determined Lady Members!

Angela, Hilary, Wendy and Maria are taking on the ultimate golfing test, to complete 54 Holes, that's three full rounds of the course, setting out early morning and all to raise funds for two amazing Essex Charities, CAVS and Age Concern Southend, who deliver vital local community services to people in very real need.

Armed with golf clubs, grit and determination the team will be swinging their way through the day; but that's not all, Members and Guests can also take part in a fun 'Beat the Lady Captain' Putting Competition, running alongside the main event, giving everyone the chance to chip-in and make a difference!

This is a true endurance challenge! Every donation will be divided equally between both charitable causes.

Funds will be very wisely used to help support CAVS vital Community Services, that help to tackle loneliness and isolation through its Befriending Service, supporting families with children and young people through its Family Mentoring Service and assisting residents with their health and wellbeing through Social Prescribing and CAVS Ways to Wellness Service.
Wonderful volunteers underpin all the work that is carried out by the Charity. More and more residents are reaching out to CAVS for help in all sorts of ways and we need to do so much more. Donations raised will help meet the demand we are experiencing, helping us to serve even more people in very real need of help.
New Volunteer recruits are always welcome. Find out more. Email: volunteering@cavsorg.uk

Age Concern Southend are working towards raising additional funds to help them purchase The Haven Community Hub in Westcliff-on-Sea, a building they can call their own and where it will provide a home for many people in the community; a place to belong, form friendships and thrive for generations to come. It's more than a Hub, its a lifeline, a place where friendships can be made and a space to connect. Every pound raised will bring them closer to securing the Hub forever.
