Triathlon Relay - Run, Swim and Cycle from Rubislaw Playing Field in Aberdeen to Myreside Playing Field in Edinburgh in memory of Colin "Boon" Maguire

In May 2024, Colin "Boon" Maguire suddenly passed away from a heart attack. A big rugby man, he played his senior rugby in Aberdeen for Aberdeen Grammar, who play at Rubislaw playing fields. He was a product of George Watson's in Edinburgh and their home ground is Myreside. Col completed an ironman distance triathlon in 2015, so the idea is to cover the 2.4mile swim, 26.2 mile run and the remaining distance by bike, around 145 miles, between Rubislaw and Myreside on 24th May 2025. To make it accessible to as many people as possible (he had a lot of friends), it will be split into manageable stages, although some people are planning to cycle the entire distance.
The fundraising will be split between The British Heart Foundation and My Name'5 Doddie Foundation.
